If you never use sound effects for the rest of your life you’re not missing out. That said, create a comical reel and play with sound effects just to try!

• Use 1 or 2 sound effects in a Reel.

• Tap the sound effect a millisecond before you want it to land. There’s a delay when placing them.

• To remove a sound effect, tap the back button and place it again so it perfectly fits.

• If you are doing more than 1 sound effect, always go in chronological order. The first sound effect perfectly placed, then the second, and so on. There’s no going-back-sies.

• When you like where your sound effects are placed then go to the next screen and bring your sound effects audio lever down to 5% . Watch the entire Reel from start to finish. If you want to add more volume then take it up to 10%. Watch it from start to finish to see if that’s a good level.

• Never have your sound effects overpower the content of the Reel.

• But always play it by ear to find the right volume level for your sound effects.
